Our first dog was a small standard we called "Fry" (small fry). We purchased her from Mydra Magic Kennels. Fry went to PCA at 6 months and won the 6-9 month puppy class. That hooked us into showing poodles.
Her son, The Buck Stops Here, finished with three majors and was the father of Benet Grey Man of Pawleys. Pawley was the father of "Pie" the first hunting and retrieving titled poodle in the USA. ( I have been told that over half of the hunting poodles in the USA have Pawley in their pedigree.)
AND then came the miniatures. Our first two miniatures were purchased in the mid 90's. Lacey and Simon...they were so much fun. Simon came from Spain...(Ch Pimlico Benet El Noctambulo) He finished as a puppy taking the breed over 5 specials....two days in a row. We enjoyed the miniatures, but continued on with our standards. Then a few years ago there was a big change. After the loss of my husband, I downsized to just miniatures.
